The Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) is set to officially launch the highly anticipated 2025 Your Local Club Academy Games with a special media event on Thursday 6 March at Tamworth Golf Club at 11am. All media representatives and VIPs are invited to attend and be part of this landmark announcement.
The 2025 Your Local Club Academy Games marks the beginning of a three-year tenure in Tamworth, a significant milestone for the region. NIAS is honoured to host this prestigious sporting event, which brings together the eleven regional academies of sport from across New South Wales to compete in a diverse range of sports.
NIAS CEO Shona Eichorn expressed her enthusiasm for the event’s new home in Tamworth, stating, “This is a game-changer for our region. The Your Local Club Academy Games, a flagship event of the Regional Academies of Sport (RAS), will feature eight key sports along with additional invitational sports in the future. Building on the success of previous editions, the Tamworth-hosted Games are expected to draw hundreds of athletes, coaches and supporters, delivering significant economic and social benefits to the community.
