CYCLING

The 2024 Your Local Club Academy Games tournament will be held from 12th-14th April.

Saturday – Wantabadgery Circuit – Wantabadgery Village, Jewnee St

Sunday – Pomingalarna Circuit

The Cycling Program will be conducted on a point score basis with multiple events over 2 days.

 

Saturday AM – Individual Time Trial – 10 km (U/15) and 15km (U/17 & U/19)

Points (separate categories for U/15M U/15F U/17M U/17F U/19M U/19W)

1st RAS 5               2nd RAS 3              3rd RAS 2

 

Saturday PM – Road Race – 30 km (U/15) and 60km (U/17 and U/19)

Points (separate categories for U/15M U/15F U/17M U/17F U/19M U/19W)

1st RAS  5             2nd RAS 3             3rd RAS  2

 

Sunday AM – Criterium – 15-20 minutes + 2 laps

Points (separate categories for U/15M U/15F U/17M U/17F U/19M U/19W)

Sunday AM – Teams Events

A teams event will proceed on Sunday after the Criterium races. Details on team events are TBC. Points will be awarded as per other events.

 

Presentation – expected to be approx. 12.30pm/1.00pm on Sunday

 

For Individual General Classification (GC)

GC is awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each age category (U/15 M & F, U/17 M & F), U/19 M & F) based on the highest points accrued.

In the event of a tie in GC, final places shall be decided in the following order until the tie is able to be broken: 1. Result in the Time Trial. 2. Result in the Criterium. 3. Result in the Road Race.

 

For Academy Team Champions

Team classification is taken by adding the top 5* athletes points together. The Academy with the highest number of points wins the overall Academy team champions.

 

*may be reduced to 3 if there are insufficient entries for an academy. This decision will be made prior to the event.
